Excalibur Vodka is made in Moldova that claims a Russian heritage. In the Russian tradition, it is made from a base of soft winter wheat. This generally implies to us a very smooth and mixable style of vodka given a charcoal filtration. We've been assured that the winter wheat used in the vodka is "Grade A" and suitable for pastries as well as vodka! They blend their vodka down with well water from a depth of 150 meters... this would imply a slight mineral quality that many connoisseurs regard as essential to premium vodka. The name is, of course, a reference to the famous sword in the stone that was yielded by King Arthur (a curious choice for a Russian vodka).
